How to calculate a tip
To tip, multiply the bill by the tip percentage and divide by 100 — for example, a 20% tip on a $50 bill is $50 × 20 ÷ 100 = $10, for a $60 total. To split it, divide the total by the number of people. This calculator does all of that instantly, and can round the total up to a clean number if you'd rather leave something tidy.
